Description

A rare uninked, unlettered page by Steve Bisstee from the American Gothic Storyline. I picked up Three sequential pages years ago from a collector who goes by Puknul on ebay. My understanding is these three pages were lost in the mail and Ron Randell inked photocopies of the art on vellum to keep the book on schedule. Later the penciled pages were found. I just love the spontaneity of the line work. The pages were signed by Bissette to Kevin nearly twenty years before I bought them. There's fate for you. Update: I was in contact with Steve asking for any information he may have on these pages and he was able to give a bit more insight. Steve says that pages were indeed lost, but that his editor felt as though he was lying because he was behind and was trying to cover himself. Later when the pages turned up said editor had to appologize. Steve also went on to say that he believes, but isn't exactly sure, that the Kevin the pages were signed for is Kevin Eastman.
