Description

This is a neat example of Irv Novicks take on the scarlet speedster. He bought his own identifiable style to the book and yet honored the Infantino model of the past. While I greatly admire the work of Ross Andru, he drew a great Blue Beetle, when Ross and Mike Espositio took the book over their version of the Flash had a stiffness that was uncomfortable. Irv brought back fluidity to the character.

In total agreement with your comments. Novick's Flash is my favorite version of the character.

When I search this board, it's usually for two artists. Ross Andru and Irv Novick. Andru more for his work on Spider-Man and Irv Novick for his take on the Flash. Your comments really nail why I love Novick on the Flash. Great piece from a fondly remembered isssue. Thanks for sharing.
