Description

At the heart of the Hulk is tragedy, and that was never as clear as in Bill Mantlo's multi-issue arc leading up to issue #300. Bruce had gained control of the Hulk in #272, being able to change at will and retain his intellect. In order to get revenge against Dr. Strange, Nightmare slowly draws out the Hulk's savage persona at the expense of Bruce Banner.

This is the first Hulk page I bought that actually features the Hulk.

Gerry Talaoc is at the peak of his powers here, with beautiful cross hatching and feathering highlighting Sal's solid storytelling.

Really fine dramatic staging from Sal, and bravura inking from Talaoc... very nice indeed!
