Description

Aquarelle, encre de chine et gouache blanche pour la couverture des "Contes de Grimm" paru aux éditions Alsatia en 1955.

Ce dessin représente bien sûr Hansel et Gretel et la sorcière.

Il y a tout l'univers de Joubert dans ce dessin : la pureté et l'innocence de l'enfance face à la laideur de la vieillesse, l'humour, les arbres torturés...

Beautiful colors on this one. The blue/green/gray background really makes the multi-colored characters pop off the page.
