"A very cool original pencil page featuring the team from Terra Obscura encountering The Terror. 11x17 Bristol, additional prelim sketches of some figures also drawn on back of page. (I believe this story page was eventually inked on a separate lightboxed page for the final miniseries art)."

From Tom Strong #12 This piece features The Terror, Tom Strong, Tom Strange, the Terror's kid sidekick Tim Roland, and the American Crusader.

This page is from the second of two "Tom Strong" issues to feature a variety of Golden Age superheroes, originally published by the company of many names: Better/Standard/Nedor. "Tom Strong" was a part of the "America's Best Comics" line under Jim Lee, written by Alan Moore. During the 1940s, Better published a series entitled "America's Best Comics". When that info was pointed out to Moore, he wrote these tales incorporating the "original" "America's Best Comics" characters.

It then spun off into two mini-series called "Terra Obscura", which sort of started my interest in all of the Golden Age superheroes, that, for various reasons, ended up in the Public Domain (which is iffy and complex and interesting on its own). And, one of my first two commissioning themes.
