Description

I owe a huge "THANK YOU!!" to Aidan for his incredible generosity. Without his grace and kindness, this piece would not be with me. The sculpture "SORROW" has never left me from the very first time I read this issue. I found it to be a profound piece of art then and find it powerful still. After my wife died from breast cancer, it was to this statue that my thoughts flowed. I finally understood what sorrow really is.

It was this page that provided the inspiration for my Darryl Banks commission From Sorrow to Hope. That piece stands as a testament to my wife's love for me, and my love for her. It was her expressed wish that I try to find love again after her passing. She loved me so very much that she didn't want me to be alone the rest of my life. It is because of her love for me that I know I can find the courage to love again someday and learn to live again. It is her love that gives me hope.
