This is the original painting published as the cover to the vintage Gothic paperback novel Her Demon Lover by Louisa Bronte in 1973. This piece is very reminiscent of Enric's work on the Warren magazines of the early 70's. One could easily see this cover being used for an issue of Eerie or Creepy. As such, it's no wonder at all that it was used for one of 12 covers in Avon's "Satanic Gothic" series!

I really don't think that there is a comparison. The original art is so Darkly Beautiful with a sense of haunting power that tells a story all by itself. This is just outstanding!!
