Description

At his second comicon in 1977 in Portland Oregon where he lived for many years, Alex made this rocket ship sketch as he told us standing there of working with Hugo Gernsback and his later comic book work for Marvel Timely, Nedor Standard et al

Later that summer, Bob Clampett blessed me with one of his creations during the cocktail party at San Diego Comicon. Lee Marrs and Shelby Sampson helped me persuade him at the time.
