Description

This isn't the kind of art I normally collect, but when I saw it I decided to take a punt. Really nice piece of work. Sadly, it is obvious that some restoration is needed, but it's quite nice to see the workings of Buscema. The original pencils underneath the paste-ins can just be made out, and there are some nice sketches on the rear that I assume (but have no proof) are Buscema. The top right panel with Mephisto was originally from the top left of the page, as can be seen from the sketches on the back!

Congrats! Silver Surfer is a fantastic character the way Kirby, Buscema and Lee did him. If you're going to deviate from what you normally collect, this is a good piece to get.

Very nice. I loved that run and I think you reached out of your comfort zone into one that a lot of people enjoy. Congratulations. FWIW, I restored a page in my collection and it really made it much more attractive on the wall.
