Description

�� Pierre Alary is the artist of the French bande dessinee albums Belladone and Sinbad. For Marvel, he drew the Spider-Man/Fantastic Four story from Spider-Man Family #3. For Disney, he was an animator under Glen Keane working on the character Tarzan. In 2006, I met Pierre at my brother's home before San Diego and found him wearing a Totoro t-shirt. So I realized he was a fan, but those first two years, I bought pieces of his own character Marie from Belladonne. This year, he offered to do commissions and he completed this one in Belgium for delivery at SDCC. My brother Stuart is taking orders for Pierre's commissions.

Update: The original post showed the inks only version. Pierre added watercolor and delivered this lovely piece to me in San Diego. Looking through the originals, I also selected a Belladone drawing. It was great to see Pierre. During Pierre's signings, I was happy to see my friends John, Colin, Rae, and Dave get book sketches. My sister-in-law posted this report.

Pierre is accepting orders for art commissions which he will complete at home and deliver at SDCC. The rates for these SDCC commissions are as follows:

$400 for a single character,, full figure, inked, with a simple background and/or watercolor accents.

$300 for a single character,, full figure, inked, no background.

$250 for a single character, full figure, in pencil.

Paper size is approximately 11"x14" or 11"x17"

This image is an example of Pierre's $400 commissions, prior to the addition of watercolor.

If you want an Alary commission, contact Stuart directly with your request. Please put �Alary Commission Request� in the subject line.

Because these pieces are made to order, payment is required in advance. Cash or check is preferred. We will accept Paypal or credit card payments for Pierre, however we will need to add 5% to Pierre�s prices to cover our processing fees.
