DescriptionFrom the "Why the 70's Were A Great Time to Grow Up" file. It's the 70's version of GI Joe. Back when it was caught between comic book super heroes (Bulletman) and the popularity of the Six Million Dollar Man (Atomic Man). Here they're actually tussling with one of Steve Austin's villains, the Venus Space Probe. I ~loved~ playing with my Joe's when I was a kid and the Venus (and Mars) probe episodes were the only Bionic Man's that I actually remember.More great work from Thomas (http://boatwrightartwork.blogspot.com). I love the little bit with Atomic Man's hair being whipped around by the chopper blades. Original size 11x14 Social/Sharing |

The Venus probe scared the crap out of me when I was a kid - it couldn't be stopped. Aaagh. Cool.

In looking at this again I'm even more impressed with the texture that Thomas was able to get out of the sky with those colors.
