DescriptionFrom the first year . Looks to be drawn by Al Wiseman the long time Sunday artist and best artist on the comic book in the fifties/ sixties and long time merchandising artist for Dennis. He arguably was as important to the visual development of Dennis as Ketchum.Social/Sharing |

I remember when this was for sale; great early example. I wondered at the time if it was Lee Holley though. When I see those 'evil eyebrows' I think of Holley... did he take a turn at the Sundays? But, when I see Dennis running with those puff balls behind him I think of Wiseman. I'm never as sure about the really early stuff. When each Dennis artist developed their own strong style it becomes quite a bit easier. Anyway, great score!

its Al . Holly was later. There may have been a panel or two that Hank re- penciled or Hanks hand in bolding the inks here and there, but all the secondary folks are pure Al W. Notice the one woman who looks just like Dennis Mom? They should have changed her.
