I met Jesse Rubenfeld at Heroes in July. I was drawn to his table by his Super-Pets playing poker piece. He is a talented artist who recreates fine art with comic and other characters.

Goya's Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters has been one of my favorites for over 20 years. Alan Moore, Steve Bissette and John Totleben featured the painting in Saga of the Swamp Thing 25, 26 and 27 (with Jason Blood, Etrigan, and Kamara the Monkey King.

I commissioned Jesse to recreate Goya's work with Jason as the artist, dreaming of Etrigan, Swamp Thing, Kamara, Klarion and his cat Teekl, Patchwork Man, Arcane and Floronic Man. As always, he did an awesome job.
