Descriptionagain, this is a page from ghost in which the narrative reflects the twisted perception of reality of doctor october, one of the title's better-conceived villains. (see another example from this story in my gallery of splash pages.) "doc oct" is running a gantlet of obstacles and characters from the series, trying to make her way toward elisa. when she finally reaches ghost, who is sitting on her jade throne, she says this wonderful line in the bottom panel:I SWEAR BY ALL THAT'S TRULY GRASPED, BY THE TRAGIC REFLECTION IN EVERY TEAR, BY THE INTAKE OF BREATH AS A SUDDEN LIGHTY REVEALS NEWLY COUPLED LOVERS, I SHALL ERASE THEE FROM THIS MORTAL PAGE! at its best, "ghost" could be a wonderful read; at its worst, it made me wonder why i enjoyed it. it's a shame the creators couldn't find a consistent level of high quality, and it's a shame that dark horse didn't give them much of a chance to do so. Another book/character I love. I am still hoping that DH gives her a chance once again sometime.
