Encre de Chine pour la planche 45 de cet album, 13�me album de la s�rie, publi� en 1970 aux �ditions Dupuis. Sign�e � l�encre de Chine.
Pr�publi�e dans le journal Spirou n�1647 en 1969.

Les cases de chevauch�es sont splendides, l�une avec un ch�teau en arri�re-plan, une autre avec une chaumi�re, l�avant derni�re case �tant l�une des plus belles de la s�rie, en plein contre-jour, au coucher du soleil. Cette planche est aussi l�occasion de 2 splendides
portraits des h�ros. Les cases avec les cigognes, moyen de locomotion des Schtroumpfs, sont tr�s rares dans la s�rie, au nombre de 3 dans La fl�te � six schtroumpfs, de 3 dans Le sortil�ge de Maltrochu. Cet album marque le grand retour de Pierre Culliford pour cette s�rie, apr�s plus de 6 ans d�absence dans les pages du journal Spirou. Cet album est le dernier de la s�rie � avoir �t� r�alis� par l�artiste.

The panels showing riding are quite wonderful, one of them with the castle as a backdrop, another with a cottage, with the penultimate panel being one of the most magnificent in the series, in full contre-jour during sunset.
This strip additionally shows two magnificent portraits of the heroes. The panels with storks, the means of transportation for Smurfs, are very rare in the series, with three of these appearing in The Smurfs and the Magic Flute, and three in Malrochu�s Spell. This album marks the return of Pierre Culliford to the series, following more than six years of absence from the Spirou. This was the final album in the series to be illustrated by the artist.
