L’album Le Cosmoschtroumpf part d’une idée assez simple. Les Schtroumpfs vivent dans un monde inaccessible aux humains, le Pays Maudit, mais un jour, un Schtroumpf veut découvrir d’autres planètes alors même que le monde autour du Pays Maudit leur est quasiment inconnu. Cela étant impossible, les Schtroumpfs vont l’endormir et remonter sa fusée dans le cratère d’un volcan, créant un autre micro-univers hors du monde au sein même de ce pays pourtant lui-même imaginaire. Dans plusieurs albums, les Schtroumpfs souhaitent découvrir de
nouveaux horizons mais ici, ça sera l’occasion de créer du merveilleux et de l’étrange au sein même d’une série qui est déjà tout entière tournée vers ces concepts. Cette planche marque l’arrivée dans le cratère des Schtroumpfs et de la fusée, le montage de cette dernière et l’installation du Cosmoschtroumpf endormi aux commandes. Elle développe aussi l’idée géniale du Grand Schtroumpf de transformer la communauté en une nouvelle communauté, celle des Schlips. Pour cela, rien de plus simple, un simple breuvage fera l’affaire. Cette planche prouve s’il en était besoin jusqu’où sont capables d’aller les Schtroumpfs pour faire vivre ses rêves à un de leurs camarades afin de le rendre heureux !

The album entitled The Astrosmurf is based on a relatively simple idea. The Smurfs inhabit a world which is inaccessible to humans, the Cursed Country, but one day a Smurf wants to discover other planets, even though the world around them outside of the Cursed Country is
almost unknown. As this was impossible, the Smurfs would put him to sleep and send his rocket to the crater of a volcano, creating another microuniverse outside of this world, but within the very imaginary country where they lived. In several albums, the Smurfs wanted to discover new horizons, but this was the chance where they would create mystery and a strange new world in a series of comics which were already set amidst a world of mystery and strange surroundings.
This series marks the arrival of the Smurfs in the crater and their rocket, as well as its assembly and the installation of the Astrosmurf asleep at the controls. It also develops the general idea of Papa Smurf to transform the community into a new community, the Schlips. To do this, there could be nothing simpler than a potion. This strip is proof, if it were needed, of the capabilities of the Smurfs in allowing their comrades to live out their dreams so as to ensure happiness!
