Description

A full-length portrait of the ultimate Jones subject: a beautiful woman. The velour of the couch, the silk robe, the woman's skin and hair - all seem to convey their actual texture. By simply looking at this painting, the tactile sense of each is communicated in a way that no other artist in my experience has ever succeeded at achieving. Grand and subtle, painted in 1987, oil on canvas, 40" x 26".
