Description

Kirby originally co-created the Modern Age Shield, Lancelot Strong, for Archie Comics back in the 60's and I definitely remember him as the leader of the Buckler 80's Mighty Crusaders revamp. Years later, as I was rummaging around comic shops I realized just how extensive the 80's line was and began picking up all the other series in the Crusaders line. One cover that I remembered very well was a brand new Kirby cover featuring his Shield. I've said before what a fan I am of Kirby's later style and I was really happy to come across Angel's recreation. Based on Kirby's original pencils -and- featuring more art than was actually used on the original comic cover!
