I'd asked Chris to do 3 9"x12" commission for me: Aquaman and Mera, Black Bolt and Medusa and Magik. When there was a delay on his working on them, he later offered an upgrade to 11"x17" for no extra charge. I replied and asked that he do them on 11"x14" instead because I already had frames to fit pieces that size. He was "basically finished" with all 3 by March 2012 at which point I sent payment. I must say that I was very happy with the Inhumans and Magik pieces that he sent 2 months later. He said he needed more time for Aquaman and Mera as he planned to add watercolors. However, as Chris has stopped answering my emails, all I have is this lovely prelim that he'd emailed to me. Here's hoping that, in time, I eventually get the finished art!

UPDATE (November 2013): Chris refunded my payment with a note of apology explaining that he had gone thru "major changes" that got in the way of his completing this commission.

There really is no excuse to stop answering emails. If you get behind in your work, I think it is OK to say that you are having problems and most people will understand. I hope you get your commissions and they turn out great!

Totally agree - can't stand the no response to emails. Inexcusable. We are all human, just explain the story and provide a clear timeline.
