DescriptionNew Teen Titans: Drug Awareness Issue #1, Page 24. This comic was sponsored by the Keebler Corporation and was in cooperation with the President's Drug Awareness Campaign, 1983. This series was the first appearance of the Protector, a character created because Robin was originally drawn in the story but then had to be removed because that character was already licensed out to Nabisco for advertising, a competetor of Keebler. Since the pages were already drawn, George Perez created a similar looking character called the Protector and went page by page to change Robin's costume to him.Social/Sharing |

This typically good action page, while from the (in)famous drug issue, could have been in almost any TT book from the Wolfman & Pérez era, and I mean that in a good way.
