I loved Whilce's art growing up.

Jim Lee was the super polished guy that was almost robotic. Whilce was the weirder, wonkier one, with these insane lines and muscles and a style so distinct. I fell in love with his name and his art.

When I got into collecting original art my top three artists were McFarlane, Liefeld, & Portacio, and at the time, both Liefeld and Portacio were the cheaper guys relative to McFarlane, Lee, Kieth, Keown, etc., so much of my earlier collecting days were filled with Portacio art.

I was thrilled to find a few of my favorite pieces over the years. I don't collect many covers but you'll find one here, one of my favorites of all time, from Punisher #10 vs Daredevil.

You may also notice it's almost all Scott Williams inks as well. Accidentally-on-purpose, the best pieces always ending up being when Scott did the inks.
