THE WEIRDOH ART OF BILL CAMPBELL
In 2003, I began corresponding with Bill Campbell, the creator of the 1960s model kits, The Weird-Ohs. At the time Bill was 84 years old and actively painting. I spoke to Bill on Thanksgivng day 2013 and at 95, he was chipper and with such a sharp mind. I have learned the hard way, far too many times, that meeting childhood heroes can be a very disappointing experience. I can safely, comfortably say that my experiences with Bill Campbell have been nothing short of inspiring.
