My first original page / La mia prima tavola originale

Norman Witty, that was in Italy with Scott Dunbier at Lucca Comicon in the early 90's (they called themselves the "Mad Americans" on the show floor), gave me this as a gift. Yes, a gift!. I didn't even know what it was: my wife had to explain me (yes, some times she follows me at comicons and enjoys it!). She said that it was an original and not some kind of old and ruined poster, as I was thinking... It was a Kirby original! Since then I've been addicted: but what a pleasant addiction.

Norman Witty, che era in Italia con Scott Dunbier a Lucca Comics nei primi anni '90 (si facevano chiamare gli "Americani Pazzi"), mi regalò questa. Si, un regalo! I non capivo nemmeno che cosa fosse: me lo ha dovuto spiegare mia moglie (si qualche volta lei mi segue alle mostre di fumetti e si diverte addirittura!). Lei mi disse che era un originale e non un qualche poster vecchio e rovinato, come pensavo io... Era una tavola di Kirby! Da allora sono diventato dipendente: ma che piacevole dipendenza.
