These days Wright is accepted as a brilliant artist, and Carol Day is considered one of the standard great mid-century strips. It’s been fun to watch as Carol Day has become one of the great discoveries in strip and illustration art of the last decade. Collectors love Carol day for the creative pacing and the portrayals of Carol Day. I love the strip for Wright’s fine portraiture and the depths of light and darkness he plumbs. Whatever reason you find to love Carol Day, I think we can all agree that it deserves all the accolades heaped upon it.
