Roberto Regalado Spanish cartoonist and illustrator, was born in the Canary Islands (Spain) in 1938 and arrived in Argentina at the age of twelve. inspired by Artists like Alex Raymond -Arnold Foster Robert Peak- Milton Caniff. He began to study art at the Pan American School of Art With Great Masters Hugo Pratt, Alberto Breccia, Pablo Pereyra, Ángel Borisoff and more, in 1957 he began working as a diagrammer in the different magazines of Editorial Abril (Nocturno, Panorama, Claudia and Parabrisas) for who also did freelance illustrations and for a short time worked as Carlos Cruz's assistant in the making of “El Indio Suarez”. In 1959 he worked for Disney in Abril editorial drawing the fox that was published in Argentina and Chile. In November 1960, he published his first comic in Extra Zero Hour No. 32: an eight-page episode of Ernie Pike titled "The Bat" screenplay Héctor Germán Oesterheld. He also made an episode of "Tales from the Big City" and published in Frontera Extra, in Unforgettable Battles and made covers for Hora Cero, while for Misterix and Rayo Rojo (when those magazines had passed to Editorial Yago) he drew various comics, among other things "El Lerdo Hogan" with a script by Ray Collins. In 1962 Regalado began working at Editorial Atlantida, serving as Art Director for Para Ti and doing illustrations for the different magazines of said company. In one of them, Gente, he draws the comic strip “Dos entre la gente” with a script by Héctor Oesterhled, along with who he will later make. In 1970 he worked for the USA for an advertising agency CMG ADVERTISING Performing Advertising Illustrations, in the same year he also worked for several agencies in Central America. -but now in Billiken- "First on Mars" in 1972 and two years later the adaptation of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea". It was precisely Billiken one of the magazines where he worked the most as a freebie in his thirty years of connection with Atlantis, making with different comic writers such as "Billiken's Bar", "The notice that did not reach Pearl Harbor", "Orelie, 1st King of Patagonia ”and“ Charles Lindberch: the sea is his only enemy ”,“ Time Travelers ”(with a script by Linton Howard),“ The wonderful world of nature ”with a script by Andy Pruna, adaptations of“ Robinson Crusoe ” and "Sandokán" and "Operativo azul", about the Falklands war in 1982. In 1977 he illustrated a series about great soccer players, including Bobby Charlton, Gianni Rivera, Marzolini, Eusebio and Garrincha, all with a script by Carlos Ulanovsky.
