Italian artists - Calegari Renzo
Renzo Calegari (Genova, 5 settembre 1933 – Genova, 5 novembre 2017) inizia la sua carriera fumettistica nel 1955 entrando nello studio di Rinaldo Dami, tramite il quale inizierà a collaborare con le Edizioni Araldo realizzando, su testi di Gianluigi Bonelli, "El Kid" e "Big Davy". Dal 1964, in collaborazione con Gino D'Antonio, Renato Polese ed altri autori, contribuisce alla realizzazione de "Storia del West", lunga saga sulla famiglia MacDonald all'epoca dei coloni statunitensi. Negli anni collaborerà con varie testate quali Orient Express ed a Il Giornalino, settimanale della San Paolo per cui realizzerà "Boone" e "Gente di frontiera". Per la Bonelli Editore disegnerà nel 1994 una storia di Tex dal titolo "La ballata di Zeke Colter", su testi di Claudio Nizzi. Infine, in coppia con lo sceneggiatore D'Antonio, realizzerà "Bandidos!"; storia pubblicata sulla collana One Shot, pubblicato nell'estate 2007.
