City of Heroes

The title based on the MMO of the same name was published in two volumes, one by Blue King Studios from 2004-2005 and the other by Top Cow from 2005 until its cancellation in early 2007.

The book mainly was an ongoing advertisement for the game. It did produce some interesting moments but primarily it helped introduce non-players of the game to the established lore within the game.

The quality of the title varied widely. The downside was that it felt constrained by not being able to stray too far outside what had already been established within the City of Heroes online universe and it couldn't really capture the uniqueness of the setting.

The series did however attract some quality creators.
