I don't know where I picked up Dead@17, but I know that I loved it pretty much right away. It's one of those comics that might not be particularly well-known or win a ton of awards...but it's great. It's the exact type of comic I would have been into as a young kid which made it the exact type of comic that I was looking for as a young-ish adult. I had only commissioned one piece of art at this point and it was from someone at a con. I wasn't sure what the etiquette was, so I think I just sent Josh an email and asked, "Hey, will you draw stuff for me?" He was, and continues to be, extremely accessible and gracious. These commissions are basically the result of a decade of me continuing to email Josh and asking him to draw stuff for me. I think they're pretty great.
