Trees featuring Zhen
Trees is a science fiction comic book series by Warren Ellis and Jason Howard. The narrative begins ten years after the arrival of massive and silent alien presences who stand on the surface of the earth.
The Chinese government constructed a wall around the city of Shu after a mysterious alien structure appeared near it and designated it as a “Special Cultural Zone” with the purpose of observing the structure and the people living within its walls. Freedom and creativity reign inside the walls, making for an experience quite different from the typical one for other Chinese citizens.
After Chenglei has his first ever sexual experience with Zhen, he is overjoyed when he learns that he will not have to play the woman in the relationship. Tragically, Chenglei dies a fiery death soon after he is lured to stay in the city by Zhen, almost as a ultimate violent punishment for entering the forbidden relationship.
