I grew up in the 1960's and loved watching cartoons on TV. Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera were TV cartoon pioneers at the time. Ed Benedict and other former MGM artists came to work for the new studio. I enjoyed The Flintstones and The Jetsons in prime time. The funny animal characters like Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound dominated Saturday mornings and weekday afternoons. Some of these cartoons were enhanced by former Warner Bros. writers Michael Maltese and Warren Foster. Later, action adventure shows like Space Ghost and The Herculoids came to be with great designs by Alex Toth. For me, the single greatest Hanna Barbera show with lasting appeal is Jonny Quest, the work of Doug Wildey.
