John Sink may not be one of the most well-known in the Harvey stable, but he´s definitely one of my favorite good-girl artists. These are some of the many romance stories he did for Harvey in the ´50s. "My Phantom Lover" is a light-hearted little story from True Love Problems and Advice Illustrated #15 ( 1952 ). "I Didn´t Believe in Love" is taken from First Love Illustrated #23 ( 1952 ), "I Was Robbed of Love" comes from First Love Illustrated #13 ( 1951 ). "Backstage Love", with the tremendous splash page, is a complete 6-page story from Hi-School Romance #62 ( 1957 ). "My Heart Was A Runaway" was originally called "Runaway Passion" and re-appeared with heavy changes in First Love Illustrated #33 ( 1956 ). "Shortcut To Love!" is an uncensored beauty from Hi-School Romance #15 ( 1952 ), "A Fool in Love" from Hi-School Romance #50 ( 1956 ). "My Strange Rival" is a post-Code love affair from First Love #81 ( 1957 ). "3 Kisses to Paradise" is from the early 1950s and was printed in True Love Problems and Advice Illustrated #17. "False Sweetheart" appeared 1952 in First Love Illustrated #19. Both are fine examples of the pre-code Romance story with no art or text changes. More stories are coming to this gallery.
