Original Art - Shane Davis (Mystery in Space)

What prompted me to collect the pieces of original art in the other sections of this gallery was that I read the comic book and then wanted the art. In the case of "Mystery in Space" I saw the original art by Shane Davis and read the story because I wanted to understand what was happening. This version of "Mystery" (there had been an earlier 1950's comic mostly starring Adam Strange) was published in 2006 with writing by Jim Starlin, pencils by Shane Davis and inks by Matthew "Batt" Banning. Described in the promotional material as a "detective story set in the far reaches of the DCU", it follows a resurrected Captain Comet seeking to discover the whereabouts of his former body. Telepathic assassin monks, a weird hero called The Weird and a talking dog also get thrown into the mix!
