DescriptionClassic X-Men was my intro to the X-Men and the Claremont/Bolton backups were so character driven, so unique, and the John Bolton art was so lush, so gorgeous. Classic X-Men was the A+ stuff that made me love the X-Men specifically, and comics in general. I am still in a state of euphoria from getting a page from my very first issue recently - the one where Jean & Misty save the dolphin family from a shark. I bought Classic X-Men #12 and #13 on a family road trip, and between the Art Adams covers, the Byrne interiors, and the Bolton backups - coupled with prime era Chris Claremont - it cemented a forever love of comics. After 2 months, I still pick this page up 3x a week and smile. |
