I just realized that for some reason I didn't have this piece in my Lowry Gallery. It is probably the most appropriate piece to include since Bruce Lowry and I thought this was an incredible piece when we saw it in person on display, I think it was at SDCC or Wildstorm Studios, old age playing tricks with my memories! Supposedly Scott D. had won it from Travis in a poker game, and we had no reason to doubt that, as Scott was up for a good bet (one year I even won $100 off a piece of art on a coin toss). I never thought it would be available, but eventually it popped up on eBay of all places. Anyhow, it remains my favorite piece of artwork by Travis even though I think he is a much better artist now than he was then. It was sort of the first artwork where you could see his raw talent starting to be harnessed and taking form.
