DescriptionThe cover is for a forthcoming volume collecting 'The Good Prince' storyline from Fables. Ambrose has his turn in the spotlight (after a supporting role in the series as well as a tragic origin story in Snowfalls). The result saw most of 2007 focusing on this lengthy arc and perhaps his demise? James told me that there is something religious about this piece and he had Mantegna's 'The Lamentation over the Dead Christ' in mind when he painted this. Measures 22 x 30, acrylic on Rives BFK. |
