Description(1952, Pen and ink on heavy art stock, 14”x21” - 12.5”x18” Live Area) Ecstatic to acquire this exquisitely inked golden age piece from Frank’s first and only cover to cover comic! The wonderfully huge page is in amazing condition for it’s age! I particularly love this panel page because it features all the main characters of the story, it has beautifully complete backgrounds which add to the atmosphere, and has sublime use of perspectives and sequential storytelling. My favourite panels are the first and last. I just love those crocodiles and the boats going down the river, and that last panel is an absolute killer, for me a perfectly composed and illustrated piece of Thun’da springing to action! |
