DescriptionHear, why I bought this board: - I like the first panel because it is a semi-splash, for once in height, not width, which is a stroke of genius because it gives a true impression of gigantic mammoth and you can feel almost physically the danger associated with the huge paw that wants to crush us. The inking work on the first panel is simply amazing, one of the best CHAN on a story he himself designed. In the foreground, the work of inking on snow can give a real depth to the different planes of the image and contributes to its perfect and immediate readability. This is why we recognize a great designer. - I like the second panel showed humor. In how many episodes we can see Conan do a roll back dear to our kindergarden teachers (you also had difficulties to do it? Not Conan!). Conan, however, seems to be surprised to find himself in this incongruous position. - I like the third panel, much more conventional: Certainly Conan flees the imminent danger but his determined gaze does not leave us in doubt about the fact that he has a plan to succeed in this fight - I like the fourth panel for its drama: the danger is imminent, the mammoth loads, Conan is forced into a cliff without being able to grab his sword which is unreachable (I always thought he will dodge as usual, avoiding at the last moment the monster load who ends up crashing to the fund of a ravine. Thanks to John WHITLOCK, I know now that it is otherwise ...). I love it when my original arts are sufficient unto itself, that is, when they tell a story without the need of those before or after to understand. I think it is very successful for this, which makes it dear to my heart. |
