Description“Concrete: Strange Armor #4 (Cover)” (1998) by Paul Chadwick (1957-) 9 x 13 in., pastels on paper Following about 12 years after the initial publication of Concrete, this 5-issue series retells and details how Ronald Lithgow, speechwriter, became Concrete (Dec 1997 – May 1998). Concrete’s first appearance was in Dark Horse Presents #1 (July, 1986). The central character is a normal man whose brain was transplanted into a large, stone body by aliens, and who lives an extraordinary life on Earth following his escape. A “what if” science fiction story, the narrative follows the real-life consequences of a man being in this extraordinary situation. The hero tries to use his body for noble endeavors. |

I've never read Concrete, but after seeing this "rock solid" image (pun intended) and your explanation I am going to see if I can get my hands on it. Posted on 9/18/2019 |

Strange Armor is actually a nice one to start with. It's hard to believe it came out over 20 years ago. Posted on 9/18/2019 |
