Description

"Dyslexic Zombies" (11/18/2015) by Gerhard (1959-) 8.5 x 11 in., ink and watercolor on paper A consummate draftsman, Gerhard provided the backgrounds and visual atmosphere for issues 65-300 of the "Cerebus the Aardvark" series. An all-around great guy, he freelances now (gerhardart.com), doing commissioned work and commercial work. He was the illustrator for Grant Morrison's "Smile of the Absent Cat" and just picked up a 2019 Shuster Award for his career-long contributions. Apropos of nothing but a good joke, Ger sent me this drawing out of the blue a few years ago.
