DescriptionIn 1975 at a local Maryland [Mark Feldman] show I met Walt, his "Metal Men" had just come out..I was a 15 year old fan-artist and he was kind & helpful to all the young artists showing him their work.When I was alittle older he was beyond helpful with professional advice & encouragement.His talented & gracious wife gave me my 1st job at Marvel on a "Kazar" backup in 82'. A truly nice guy whom I"ve known on and off for 30 years...and his " Manhunter" & " Starjammers" strips gave the comicbook industry a new visual vocabulary-[lettering & type, panel composition,cinematography,& too many to list[, thats still influences artists to this day. |
