Description

The fourth issue of Alpha Flight (1983) and the story of Marinna's origin. Heading to the frozen north in a Fantasticar, Sub-Mariner and Sue Richards have teamed up to track down the Master, whose spacecraft blasts them from the sky. After this great two-pager, the pair find an undersea entranceway into the Master's craft. I always thought that Byrne, in particular, handled the relationship between these two characters, who share such a history, with great aplomb. Even the simple body language in these panels suggests a kind of familiar maturity in the way they interact.
