Description

The portfolio was orchestrated by Dave Sim to assist Steve Gerber in his legal expenses (FOOG stands for Friends Of Old Gerber) as he attempted to sue Marvel Comics for ownership of his creation, Howard the Duck. 10 black and white plates by Sim (Cerebus and Destroyer Duck, with Howard swinging in the background), Gene Colan/Sim (Stewart the Rat), Berni Wrightson (Captain Stern), Frank Thorne (Ghita), Marshall Rogers (Captain Quick and the Foozle), Wendy Pini/Sim (Elf and Frost Giant), Jeff Jones (Ducks), Charles Vess (Faery Tales), Barry Windsor-Smith (Medusa), and Michael Kaluta (Mermaid). 11.25-in. x 14.25-in. Folder illustrated by Jack Kirby/Alfredo Alcala (Destroyer Duck).
