DescriptionFIRST:For any of you that play sports, and I mean ANY sport, you have likely experienced where you accidentally made a great play but everyone thought you did it on purpose. Leo O'Mealia beautifully captures that situation with his multi-panel style. SECOND: When comics and sports come together! This picture was created by Leo "the Lion" O'Mealia. Leo was a sports cartoonist for the Rochester Herald, the Rochester Times, The Globe and the New York Daily News. He would always include a cute lion somewhere in his baseball art. Leo O'Mealia was also known for his work on early issues of Action Comics, Adventure Comics and Detective Comics in the late 1930's. |
