Description

As hardly needs introduction, George Perez did a magnificent run on the New Teen Titans, and under his pen (along with writer Marv Wolfman of course) he did more to make Dick Grayson's Robin his own man (rather than just the other half of "Batman and...") than anyone else, laying the groundwork for him to grow up and become Nightwing (We shall not talk about the various atrocious mess ups of that transition that other editors retconned in, the original and best version was that Dick gave up the role of Robin because he'd outgrown it and handing on the role to Jason Todd was HIS choice, not Bruce's) Mr Perez was also not afraid to up the beefcake quotient in his male cast and as such we ended up with possibly the sexiest Robin ever, a handsome young man, muscled and toned to perfection. Of course just because you're muscled and toned doesn't mean that you can't still sometimes be "Robin, the Teen Hostage" every now and again.
