I have an inked version of the cover. I didn't knew about this painted version. I guess the ink one is the initial version, and they may have decided it deserved to be painted. If you know I'm interested with the historical.

I don't know exactly, if the painting is a cover or not, if it's related to only one story or not. But it is definitly related. It is curently at the frame shop to be framed together :)

Great painting. In France the 70s were rich in SCI-FI comics artists, Druillet, Moebius (Jean Giraud), Caza, Bilal, Gal, Jeronaton, Nicollet and many more. The "Metal Hurlant" magazine was one of the latest receptacle of their art after "Pilote". "Metal Hurlant" has been derived in many countries, "Heavy Metal", "Schwer Metal" ...
