I still remember the rainy day, jumping out of my dad's car, and running into the newsstand to pick up a comic or magazine. Mad magazine was what I was thinking---but when I saw the Creepy cover, and the cute girl who worked in the shop and called me "honey!!!!", I wanted to prove to her I knew what I wanted and bought the Creepy. I knew where the cover resided for nearly 30 years. The owner knew I wanted it, and priced it accordingly. When it sold to someone else, that person sold it to me for a song (thanks Eric!). It is not my best piece of art---but has the most memories attached to it. Goes well with the Corben story I got! Congrats my friend! you did well.....  My apologies for not replying i love this story - and since when did Creepy win the girl! That makes it the best! |
