Congratulations Lars, that is one awesome splash page by the legendary Joe Simon. Although it is hard to date this storyline, SIMON returned to Romance comics in the late 1960's, and the artwork looks very much from this time period if you look at the guy's sideburns and hairstyle, the curtains also look like something from the 'flower power' era. But most interesting is the girl, who strikes an uncanny resemblance to Romita's Mary-Jane Watson !!!!! Could Jazzy Johnny Romita worked with Joe on this story ?????

As the ORIGINAL owner of this painting nearly 10 years ago, I can vouch that this piece in the flesh is outstanding.
Sienkiewicz's brush technique and use of color makes this a winner!

I love those old television cameras from the sixties, as well as the fashions and hair styles. Looking at these wonderful pieces of artwork is like viewing a time capsule of this period of time. Thanks for sharing these with us Lars.

The finished ink version looks great, and I totally agree that there is a Lienil Yu resemblance in the layout composition, although in Raymund's style.

Another great score Lars!
Love the artwork by Eisman, and Vince Colletta's inkwork is really, really nice! I always felt he was underated as an inker, and never got the recognition he deserved.
