Kevin O'Neill Nemesis Owner: Phillip Hester Comment posted on 7/8/2012 It could practically be an outtake from that Green Lantern Annual story. If only the toy line that was doing the 2000 A.D. figures years ago hadn't stopped putting them out before they got to Nemesis. I wanted one just because O'Neill said if you did action figures of his characters you would cut yourself every time you touched it because they were all angles. |

Williams, Kent Batman Black & White page Owner: Greg Huneryager Comment posted on 7/6/2012
Markus Volquarts said:
hi, no sorry, it's not true it's not the only page in private hands, because i bought the page number 1 in the four color gallery... ![]() Well, that's cool. I was told that by someone who shared a studio with Kent. I guess he remembered wrong; probably just that Kent regretted selling any of the pages. I'm sure your page like this one reveals so much more detail and gradation than the print version. That's why it's good for my finances that I didn't go to gallery show. Because I would have bought half the pages and I really couldn't even afford this one. |

Johnny Hazzard strip Owner: Rev. Dave Johnson Comment posted on 7/1/2012 Robbins is someone who I think most fans hated as a kid but the older I get the more I/we like/appreciate him. He wasn't helped by the printing in comics in the late '70s (or at least his eye to detail didn't come across) but his facility was amazing, particularly as I've been told that by this point in the strip he didn't pencil anything -- just drew it all with a brush as he went. |

Marvel Preview #16, pg 23 Owner: Lee Dunch Comment posted on 4/11/2012 This is my favorite Don McGregor story, mainly because it was the first time I had seen someone make the connection between lycanthropy and puberty. It was like a light bulb appearing over my head. It was now so obvious that werewolf and vampire stories (and their ilk like Little Red Riding Hood) were a way in the old days to warn girls about men without telling them why. I don't doubt that someone had expressed the idea earlier but this story was the first time I saw that expressed and the idea of a provocatively dressed woman bringing out the beast in a young innocent was inspired. |

Hampton, Scott Batman: Gotham County Line #2, p. 32 Owner: Greg Huneryager Comment posted on 4/6/2012
Roger K. said:
This is a great page. I love Hampton's stuff and wish there was more of it. ![]() Yeah, if I had less restraint I could have easily bought tons of pages from him. The Black Widow mini-series art was particularly sweet but Batman is my favorite comic book character and Deadman, maybe because I read his story as it was published, is my 2nd favorite. |

Amazing Adventures 34, pg 30 Owner: Nathan Evans Comment posted on 3/27/2012 And if I remember correctly it was selling for the ungodly sum of $80 in one of those art catalogs that Steranko put out. A great page indeed. |

Superboy & Legion #197 p. 2 - Cockrum Owner: * CHAD * LSH ART Comment posted on 3/7/2012 As suspected Superboy's real weakness isn't kryptonite but Lana. Only she can make his sweat. What's amazing is how few issues Cockrum did of the Legion but how influential they were. |

Johnny Comet, March 19, 1952, #45. Owner: Richard Martines Comment posted on 1/15/2012 Beautiful. I'm one of those who think Frazetta's inking is more impressive that his paintings. Of course, it's all due to his facility with a brush, but his skill and nimbleness are incredible. |

Legion of Superheroes Homage to Teen Titans Issue 14 Owner: Aidan (Re-Legion ) Lacy Comment posted on 8/28/2011 Great choice. This is my favorite issue of he original run. I love the Adams issues but this is such an emotional story. I thought Perez was on the mark when he used it as the basis for the Secret Origin issue that featured the Titans. |

Dr Strange # 183 p 8 Owner: Michael Baulderstone Comment posted on 8/24/2011 When people talk about innovative composition in '60s comics they always seem to forget Colan's work. Sure Adams and Steranko blew us all away but Gene's stuff was radical as well and he often did two books a month. |

Wonder Woman #201 pg.6 Owner: My NAME IS LEGION Comment posted on 7/22/2011 Giordano was really great at drawing women. For that reason I think his WW and Charlton stuff (Sarge Steel/ Secret Agent and romance covers) is his best work. |

Neal Adams Classic Batman 237 Night of the Reaper Owner: Roger K. Comment posted on 5/25/2011 The best story O'Neil and Adams did in Batman. There are other better stories about Batman but this has more a universal feel which is why it is such a classic story. |

Avengers 94 page 19 Owner: robert frey Comment posted on 2/7/2011 If you're going to own one Adams page it should be one like this. The only thing that surprised me about the bidding on ebay is that it didn't go up another digit. One of the best pages from that run. |

Neal ADAMS; Brave and the Bold #86, page 7 Owner: J. Hiroshi Morisaki Comment posted on 1/4/2011 It's just amazing how much better Adams got between #79, the 1st Deadman team-up, and this issue. I can remember when these pages were $150 (still have the Supersnipe catalog somewhere) but that was back when that was a lot of money for me (the teenage years). |

José Luis GARCIA-LOPEZ, Time for Love #28, page 6 Owner: J. Hiroshi Morisaki Comment posted on 1/3/2011 It's from "Time for Love" #28 and needles to say, since this is Charlton, the art looks a lot better than it does in the comic. I have most of his Charlton work and showed Garcia-Lopez what I had collected at a Fallcon and he said he hadn't even seen all of them, wasn't sure if they were all printed. Even back then he was great at drawing the female face. Congrats. |

Stanley Pitt Visions cover Owner: George Hagenauer Comment posted on 12/30/2010 So what year was this done and can the magazine be found anywhere? I learned of Pitt's work due to Sense of Woinder #10 and while that is dazzling this is even more incredible. I think Steranko owes him a debt 'cause he sure look like an influence. If he wasn't exposed to these he would certainly kill to have done something this cool 'cause this notches up the surrealism without being obvious. |

Defenders Annual 1 pg.19 Owner: My NAME IS LEGION Comment posted on 5/15/2010 A cool page from the wackiest run of any super-hero team book -- Steve Gerber's Defenders. Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol is nothing compared to what happened in these books. Congrats. |

Strange Tales 178 cover by Jim Starlin Owner: Scott Williams Comment posted on 3/11/2010 Cool cover from the best short run series of the time or if, you're like me, consider the early to mid '70s to be Marvel's real golden age just the best 'mini' ever. One of the books that blew our little teenage minds. Does anything do that anymore? Great pickup. |

Legion of Super Heroes (1989) 04 p18 by Giffen/Gordon Owner: Marcus Gipps Comment posted on 3/7/2010 And it's only from the best issue of the whole 5-year later run, the one that totally blue everyone away. Now you only have the get pages that follow this. |

More Vintage Adams! Owner: Scott Williams Comment posted on 4/4/2009 And I want the Night of the Reaper cover for $750. In the meantime I have a Canadian repo of it in b&w (a "superhero comic doodle") that shows muchl of the incredible detail. |

Wonder Woman Meets Gorilla Grodd - Joe Gravel Owner: Joel Thingvall GALLERY OF WONDER WOMAN ART Comment posted on 12/4/2005 So if you swap minds your costume and breasts go with you unless you're a woman and then you keep your breasts? Makes sense to me. I would have bought this comic. |

Justice League of America #200 Page Owner: Ali Kokmen Comment posted on 3/21/2005 What I remember about this issue is the cool assortment of artists it had and this page. The story was only okay -- just an excuse for the great art -- but this page actually had some resonance. Congrats greg |
