Ah, sorry! If I didn't get it now I assumed I'd never see it again. I thought I'd have buyer's remorse after I received it, but I couldn't be happier.

This book was written based on people I knew and things that happened during my time on the NYPD. We got letters from cops from all over the world saying it was the most accurate depiction of police they'd ever seen in comics. 

When we both lived on Staten Island back in the late 80's, Mitch Itkowitz brought this and several other Buscema pieces to my apartment, knowing I collected JB art. I bought the splash to Subby 6 and a couple other pieces I don't remember any longer, but I passed on this. 

Spectacular page! I must have tried to copy that bottom panel a dozen times when I was a kid. 

 Very cool! Great to see this again! I still really like this piece! Proposed cover to a 48 page graphic novel that I have penciled but never finished. I have a better scan if you want one!

It was meant as a very early cover (when they still used the wizard's cloak on their covers) but eventually used in the 100th anniversary issue, I believe

Every time you post one of these it brings back such great memories of working on this book. 

From start to finish, this is my favorite thing I've ever done. I often look at work after the fact and see so many things I'd change. This book is the most work I've ever put into anything and I wouldn't change a thing. Flattered by your appreciation of the effort.
