Michonne by Pacheco Owner: Nelson Animated Ink Comment posted on 10/28/2013 Pacheco can draw anything and make it look like he was the regular artist on the book for years. Having the actor's signature is icing on the cake. Congrats on the pick up of this sweet piece of Walking Dead paraphenalia. |

Hero For Hire #03, Page #03 Splash Owner: Nick Katradis Comment posted on 9/22/2013 And even more credit is due to the magician who pulls amazing pieces, such as this one, seemingly out of thin air. Magic indeed. Congratulations on getting a well-remembered and fondly-considered page from your early comic reading days. In some ways those pages are the most magical of all. Congratulations. |

Enter Magneto Owner: Nelson Animated Ink Comment posted on 9/22/2013 Truly a great pick up on many counts. One of the few recent things on the 'Bay that I actually thought about going after. Happy I didn't because that would have caused one of us to pay a bit more ;) Congratulations Nelson! |

It sounds like you may think this was inked with a brush, but I inked it with a Hunt #103 pen nib, Artemaria. ![]() Your assumption about my assumption was correct. You have a nice soft inking style and it is interesting that you used a fine point pen tip, rather than a brush, to achieve it. Thanks for providing historically accurate information - and for doing such a nice job on this cover ;) |

Neal Adams - X-Men 57 page 1 Owner: Carlo M Comment posted on 5/11/2013 Even now, decades after its creation, this splash still amazes. The art, layout and seamless composition just draw you in. It doesn't hurt that Adams was a master of expression, anatomy and setting. Congratulations on an amazing page! |

Jack Kirby - Thor 148 - title splash Owner: Carlo M Comment posted on 5/11/2013 Powerful splash. Kirby was ahead of his time in so many ways and his art on Thor literally created new worlds and put them before unsuspecting comic readers for all to see. Pure awesomeness. Congratulations! |

New Teen Titans 001, page 14 (Volume 2) Owner: COL (Ret) Churchill Comment posted on 5/2/2013 Having one page from this historic issue would be a coup for any collector. Having two pages, and especially these two great pages, is indeed Titanic. Congratulations! |

Ultimatum 3 Variant Cover, Hank Pym Owner: Kimberly Smith Comment posted on 5/2/2013 Only McGuiness could jam pack that much image in a cover. I can see why it is your grail and why you reached out across the pond (the home of the original Holy Grail) to get it. Giant congratulations! |

Avengers 197 Owner: robert frey Comment posted on 5/1/2013 While I am partial to pen inkers (such as Terry Austin, Gene Day or Perez himself) on Perez, there is a nice synergy between Perez's pencils and McLeod's inks that is quite appealing. Combine this with somewhat unusual layouts and you have one of the Mightiest cover images of the time. Congratulations! |

Doctor Strange 68 page 14 Owner: robert frey Comment posted on 5/1/2013 Paul Smith's run on the good Doctor's title is severely underrated. His pages flow like one of the former surgeon Strange's mystical spells. Congrats on a magical acquisition. |

X-Men 102, page 23 (Volume 1) Owner: COL (Ret) Churchill Comment posted on 3/24/2013 Great great page. It's no secret that Nightcrawler was Cockrum's favorite New X-men character. I don't know if he took special care on Nightcrawler pages, but it sure like it from this page. That last panel is an especially impressive rendition of how Nightcrawler's invisibility powers should work. Congratulations on an uncanny acquisition! |

Amazing Spider-Man #12, page 1 Owner: Ron S Comment posted on 3/22/2013 In the china closet filled with grails that is your collection, this is one of those pieces that reflects the halogen oh so much more brightly than others. As you said, nice Ditko splashes are hard to come by, and this one is fantastic, featuring my favorite Spidey villain, the entire cast and a couple of wild beasts to boot! If the implication in your description is correct, namely that in those magical three years Lee and Ditko created the whole cloth of Spidey mythology, then you've acquired a marvelous depiction of the heavens. Congratulations my friend on a truly exceptional acquisition! |

X-men 138 Unused Page Owner: David Mandel Comment posted on 2/23/2013 I don't know what's more magical, the fact that you got an un-inked page from an inker, or that this page still exists. Seeing Byrne's pristinely preserved pencils in his prime reminds me of those halcyon days where my biggest worry in life was saying Make Mine Marvel! Congrats on an Extremely Excellent Example -- Excelsior! |

Daredevil 182 Page 25 - Punisher Owner: Doc R Comment posted on 2/15/2013 They say you can judge a man by the company he keeps. If that's the case, then your wife -- your most important company of all -- is a woman of fine judgment and exquisite taste, which only reflects well on you. Congratulations on a great page and thanks for a great story! |

Romita Sr. Captain America 143 p12 1971 Owner: frank x townsondecker Comment posted on 1/25/2013 There is such charm, in these pages, not only because of the beautiful art, but because, at that time, comics, perhaps as much as if not more than any other media, captured the essence of the era. Today's comics seem content to serve as merely alternative fantasy escapes, and, in that limited role, may never achieve the same relevance as these little windows into yesteryear. Congratulations on quite the groovy acquisition! |

Giffen - LSH #294 p37.jpg Owner: Jim Ford Comment posted on 1/19/2013 One of my favorite pages from my youth. It is nice to see it again and that it is in good hands. Should you ever tire of it, please let me know. In the meantime, congratulations on a spectacular acquisition! |

Brightest Day #23 Owner: Ray DeForest Comment posted on 1/8/2013 While Brightest Day is not going to make anyone forget the Dark Phoenix Saga (or even Identity Crisis), I thought that Gary Frank's drew some really nice covers for the series. This one, which reveals, at least in part, why certain of the DC heroes were chosen to participate in Brightest Day is one of the most memorable. Congratulations on a sweet cover! |

Spider-Man Tome 5 Le Bouffon Vert ( The Green Goblin ) / Spider-Man Spectacular # 1 Cover Owner: Nelson Animated Ink Comment posted on 1/8/2013 This is impressive. Iron Man #96 Cover (Al Milgrom) (1976) Owner: Daren Domina Comment posted on 11/2/2012 Wasn't really reading comics at this time, so I don't know the storyline, but I do remember this cover. Does everything a cover should. Shows the hero in a great pose. Makes you want to buy the book. Agreed that it is one of the top Milgrom covers. Congrats! |

New Avengers #16 ft. Daredevil Owner: Dimitrios Z Comment posted on 10/14/2012 Of the modern artists, Mike Deodato Jr. really has made his mark with his photorealistic style and use of unique perspectives in his art. His excellent use of both in this cover make this quite a gem. Congratulations! |

You Want Some of This? Owner: E DLS Comment posted on 10/9/2012 It's funny as on any given day, an artist can produce a piece that moves you, . . . or doesn't. This is a very nice piece by Mannion, and as far as birthday presents, it sure beats the art in any card that I have received. Congratulations on both celebrating a birthday and the new art! |

Justice League Class of 87 Poster by Kevin Maguire Owner: Malvin V Comment posted on 10/4/2012 Great piece from an unorthodox, but highly successful, take on the Justice League. Maguire is a terrific artist, but those issues inked by Austin were just icing on the cake. Congratulations on a terrific acquisition! |

Tales of Suspense #94, page 1 Owner: Ron S Comment posted on 10/1/2012 Wow, I will surely miss seeing this on the prior owner's wall. One of the few twice up pieces that when I saw it in real life literally blew me away, a completely different experience than seeing the small scan on a computer screen. You are right, Colan is a master and his Titanic talents are on full display in this tremendous piece. Congratulations on a "Triumphant" acquisition! |

|
Astonishing X-Men (Vol # 3) # 7 cover (2005) Owner: DW A Comment posted on 10/1/2012 Strong cover from a great run. While it is fairly cliche to say that the scans do not do the original art justice, this seems to be more true than usual for John Cassiday covers. There is a purity of line and form that is so sublime when you hold his covers in your hand that just does not come across so clearly when you look at the scans. Congratulations on an "Astonishing" acquisition! |

ETHAN VAN SCIVER- BATMAN / JOKER sold Owner: Marshall Steinman Comment posted on 9/13/2012 If DC ever could get Alan Moore out of retirement to write a follow up to the Killing Joke, if Van Sciver took his time to do it right, Van Sciver could give Bolland a run for his money. Congrats on a beautiful Bat-commission! |

|
TONY DANIEL - THE BAT & CAT EMBRACE Owner: Marshall Steinman Comment posted on 9/13/2012 While Daniel is certainly striving towards making his own mark on DC's eponymous character, this piece has a really nice Hush vibe. Congratulations. |

|
Identity Crisis #6, pages 20-21 Owner: Ron S Comment posted on 8/17/2012 Identity Crisis is one of the few stories that transcends its typecast as an "event series" meant to grab readers. The harsh reality impact of that story still resonates in the DCU, the was perhaps Morales' career-best work, and Bair's inks, as always, were nothing short of incredible. This is a great page from a great series by a tremendous writer/artist/inker combination. Congratulations! |

Uncanny X-men 274 Cover Owner: David Mandel Comment posted on 7/25/2012 I do so love Jim Lee's work from this period. Extra creamy and smooth - like butter. Thanks for sharing and congrats! |

Green Lantern #25 pgs 18-19 Owner: Rodney Rappaport Comment posted on 7/11/2012 The great collaboration between Johns and Reis certainly brought Ivan's work to many people's attention in the comics world. Congratulations on getting a beautiful example from that terrific run! |

Steve Lightle Cosmic Boy #1 Cover Owner: Chaykin Dude Comment posted on 7/8/2012 Loved Lightle's work on Legion. Your comment is rather accurate that for some reason, Lightle's covers are indeed "elusive." Congratulations on snaring a rare fish indeed! |

|
Carmine Infantino Man Called Nova #23, pg 1 Owner: Chaykin Dude Comment posted on 7/8/2012 Nice page from one of my favorite series to read all those years ago. I don't see any Simonson inks in this page as Simonson's trademarked fine lines are rather absent to my eye. My vote would be for Wiacek inks. But there is one way to find out. You can e-mail each of the inkers and find out a conclusive answer to your mystery. Good luck! |

George Perez Firestorm Owner: aric shapiro Comment posted on 7/5/2012 Back in the 1980s, Perez illustrating Firestorm in the pages of JLA always was a special treat. Congratulation on owning this neat trip down memory lane. |

Justice League issue #8 pages #18 & #19 by Ivan Reis and Joe Prado Owner: Mike (aka Off White) White Comment posted on 7/4/2012 Not too many people can follow Jim Lee on a title and hold their own, but Reis' work is something to behold. Especially love the layout of this piece, everyone fits in there and yet the battle seems organic and not crowded. Congratulations on a sweet DPS! |
